    Truth or Dare Wheel

The truth or dare wheel decides whether the next player answers a question or takes on a challenge. Keep the list friendly for kids or tailor it for your group.

What is the truth or dare wheel?

The truth or dare wheel is a free online spinner loaded with 6 starter entries, such as Truth, Dare, Truth, Dare. You can change every slice, add your own items, set odds and keep a record of each result. People also search for it as “truth or dare spinner”, “truth or dare generator”, “truth or dare wheel for kids”.

A hidden random generator only gives you an answer. This wheel shows every option and the spin itself, so the group can see nobody picked the result by hand.

Tips for the truth or dare wheel

    • Use the Truth or Dare question pages to build your own prompt list.
    • Set everyone's limits before playing.
    • Use Elimination with prompt entries so none repeat.

How to play with the wheel

Players sit in a circle. On your turn, spin the wheel. If it lands on Truth, answer a question honestly; if it lands on Dare, complete a challenge. "Double dare" means a harder challenge, and "Your choice" lets you pick. Use a second wheel loaded with truths and another loaded with dares, so the questions are random too. That way nobody can accuse the asker of targeting them.

    Truths for friends and parties

What's the most embarrassing song you secretly love? What's the worst gift you've ever received? Who was your first celebrity crush? What's a habit you'd never admit to at work? What's the strangest food combination you enjoy? What's the silliest thing you've cried at? If you could swap lives with someone here for a day, who would it be? Keep truths light enough that everyone can answer without real embarrassment.

    Dares that stay fun

Do your best impression of someone in the room. Speak in an accent for the next three turns. Show the last photo in your camera roll. Let the group post a harmless status on your behalf, if you're comfortable with it. Dance with no music for thirty seconds. Sing the chorus of a song chosen by the group. Talk without using the letter S for one minute. Wear a silly hat until your next turn.

    Family-friendly and kids' versions

For younger players, focus on silly dares and gentle truths: make an animal noise, hop on one foot for ten seconds, tell your favourite joke, name your favourite colour and why, or draw a picture with your eyes closed. Avoid anything involving phones, secrets or physical contact. Picture slices help non-readers join in.

    Keeping it safe and comfortable

Agree some ground rules at the start. Anyone can pass, swapping to a mild alternative or taking a forfeit point. No dares involving alcohol, danger, food allergens, unwanted touching, or anything illegal or unkind. No truths that pry into private matters such as health, relationships or family problems unless everyone has clearly agreed. The goal is laughter, not discomfort.

    Adjusting the balance

If your group prefers dares, set Dare to weight 3 and Truth to weight 2. If people are shy, do the opposite. Lower the weight of "Double dare" so it stays special. Adding "Spin again" or "Pass to the left" slices keeps the game unpredictable.

    Scoring variations

Award a point for every completed truth or dare and two for a double dare. Players who pass lose a point. The highest score after a set number of rounds wins a small prize. For large groups, split into teams and let each team nominate a player to spin.

    Online play

Share the wheel over video and spin for each player. Choose dares that work on camera, like impressions, quick sketches or showing an object from the room, and keep truths lighthearted.
